Description

“Sicilienne” by Maria Theresia von Paradis arranged for cello and harp by Mladen Spasinovici and Roxana Moișanu

Duo Cell’Arpa’s arrangement was specifically made for cello and lever (Celtic) harp, but you can play on a pedal harp as well.

“Sicilienne” is one of the most known works of Maria Theresia von Paradis, the blind pianist, singer, and composer who inspired Mozart 🎶

The sheet music contains covers + score (3 pages) + parts (cello – 1 page, and harp – 2 pages)

Music arranged and performed by Duo Cell’Arpa:

Mladen Spasinovici (cello – performed on Luis & Clark Cello) and Roxana Moișanu (lever harp – performed on Salvi Egan Electroacoustic harp)

Check the youtube link to listen to the full piece. The recital was recorded and included in “Music Season Iosif Sava 2014 – 2015” at Sutu Palace Bucharest.

📌 According to Grove Music, this is spurious and possibly composed by violinist Samuel Dushkin (1891-1976), based on Weber’s “Romanze” from Violin Sonata Op.10, No.1.
