These days I finished some harp compositions. Today I published one of them, “First Smile”, a miniature composition for lever or pedal harp.

It’s about your child’s first smile, or maybe the first smile of the person you love the most in your life… The world always looks brighter behind a smile.

“Few things in the world are more powerful than a positive push. A smile. A world of optimism and hope. A ‘you can do it’ when things are tough.”

– Richard M. Devos

🎶 Enjoy this little piece of music for meditation, stress relief, relaxation, dreaming, and hoping for the best!

As always, there is a video on youtube that I just posted and I welcome you to listen to it!

  1. I really love this piece! The diminished chords are very beautiful, and makes the entire effect unique. “First Smile” has a different feel for the lever harpist seeking to play something new and unusual.

    • I appreciate your kind words, Victoria Lee. The diminished chords and “unusual” atmosphere are aimed to emphasize the extraordinary emotion of having a first born child or even just witnessing a baby’s first smile.
